Hi, I'm Ru
A UX/UI & Product Designer with PM skills and a business marketing backbone.
I like tackling messy, complicated problems and turning them into simple, usable solutions. People tell me I’m the one who keeps things clear: I connect dots, manage expectations, and help everyone move toward the same goal without losing sight of reality.

What I Do
I design with users in mind, but I also design with businesses in mind. To me, good design doesn’t just look nice — it works, scales, and makes sense in the bigger picture.
-
With clients, I keep expectations realistic (no fantasy results, just solutions that actually deliver).
-
With teammates, I make sure we understand each other’s challenges and create space for creativity.
-
With products, I weigh user needs against business priorities — knowing that balance changes depending on the stage of growth.

In short: I make sense of complexity and guide it into something real, useful, and impactful.
My Background
My journey started in business and marketing — I studied digital marketing, branding, and data-driven decision-making. I worked as an event planner and account executive, which taught me fast-paced client communication and why clarity matters more than anything.

Later, I pursued my Master’s in Information Management, where I specialized in UX and IA. Since then, I’ve designed nonprofit platforms, mobile apps, and complex taxonomies — from Epic Games’ snippet repository to volunteer management systems.

My Design Approach
I usually begin wide, soaking in the big picture, and then slowly zoom in to connect the dots. Somewhere in that process, hidden blind spots pop up and new opportunities start to surface — things you’d never notice if you only looked straight ahead.

I don’t believe there’s one magic process that works for every project. Each comes with its own mix of deadlines, curveballs, and surprises. Honestly, that’s what makes design exciting to me — uncovering the unexpected in research and then turning all that discovery into something real that people can actually use.
When I'm not working

Yoga & Meditation
I practice yoga and meditation to clear my head and recharge my creativity. (Works most of the time 😅). Fun fact: I’m also a yoga instructor, helping others find focus and calm through practice.

Cooking
Cooking is my favorite form of experimenting — you never quite know the result until the dish is ready. I love turning fresh ingredients into something delicious to share with family and friends.

Paddle Board
My go-to summer sport: riding the waves, finding balance on the water, and soaking up fresh air under the sun.

Video Games
I enjoy both playing and watching games. The stories, gameplay, and design are full of surprises — and often inspire how I think about interaction and experience.
